Jacklyn Wei

Founder, CEO, Chairwoman

Jacklyn Wei is a chess lover with 9 years of competitive chess experience. She is a 2x state champion and the 2023 Utah Girls State Champion, representing Utah at the national tournament of champions and placing in the Top 20 nationally. In her free time, Jacklyn enjoys playing tennis, drawing, listening to K-Pop, and socializing.

Brian Wei

President, CTO

Brian Wei always had a deep interest in chess since 3rd grade, when he ranked 11th in his very first tournament by executing only the 4-move checkmate. Since then, he has become the state champion and has consistently placed in the top three for multiple years. Outside of chess, Brian loves coding, teaching, math, and music.

Olivia Jiang

Vice President

Olivia Jiang has been a passionate chess player since 1st grade. She is a 3-time state champion and has been the Utah’s Women’s State Champion for 2 consecutive years (2022 & 2023). She has also been consistently ranked in the Top Player Lists by USCF for many years. Other hobbies she enjoys include piano, math, tennis, and art.

Shreya Sanghvi

VP of Marketing

"Every chess master was once a beginner" - Irving Chenev. Shreya calls herself a beginner; however, she is inspired by many talented chess players and champions around her. Her deep interest in chess has developed since she learned that chess is the art of analysis. In her perspective, chess is not only a game, but an application to many avenues of life and in leadership. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading fantasy novels, shopping, and listening to pop music.

Arin Soneji

COO

Arin Soneji has been playing chess for a while now, almost 7 years! He has been the 2nd and 3rd place in the 7th and 8th grade state championships, respectively. He has achieved a rating in the top 90 Utah chess players altogether. Another sport he enjoys is tennis, which he has been playing competitively for 9 years.

Om Sanghvi

CFO

Om Sanghvi is a competitive chess player with 2 years of experience. He also likes to play a lot of tennis as well as table tennis. He has won 1st place in many chess tournaments as well as in many tennis tournaments. His favorite subjects in school are math, physics, and science.

Sashwath Narayanan

CIO

Sashwath Narayanan is an enthusiastic chess player with 8 years of competitive experience. He is a 4-time runner-up at Utah State Championship. In his free time, he likes playing soccer and running track and cross country. In school, his favorite subjects are Math and Science.

George Wang

George has been a competitive chess player for 8 years and has a USCF of 1481. In the past, he has won Utah's Elementary State Championship, Middle School State Championship (for his grade), as well as other accolades. In his spare time, he enjoys playing piano and tennis.

Jaden Ngo

Jaden Ngo is an eager chess player with 3 years of experience. In addition to competitive chess, he likes to play tennis, and swim competitively. He is top of his class in terms of chess and hopes to participate more in the chess community. In his free time he likes to draw and go on walks.

Wenray Zhang

Wenray Zhang has been playing chess since she was four. She has participated in the annual Utah girls’ chess championship for 9 years and represented Utah in the 2023 Susan Polgar Foundation Girls' Invitational chess tournament. Some of her hobbies include chess, drawing, and making stuffed animals.
